PM Modi to inaugurate 38th National Games in Uttarakhand
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has confirmed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 38th National Games, scheduled to take place from January 28 to February 14.

Uttarakhand is set to host the national games for the first time, following the Indian Olympic Association’s (IOA) decision in Dec last year to choose the state as the venue for the 2025 edition. The event is expected to bring together over 10,000 athletes, officials, and coaches who will compete across 38 sports in various cities in the state.
The national games, a multi-sport event modelled after the Olympics, will showcase 32 sporting disciplines along with four demonstration events. The last edition of the national games was hosted by Goa in 2023 in which Maharashtra secured the top position on the medal tally, earning a total of 228 medals, including 80 golds.
