Meeting with Former Sports and Youth Minister Shri Anurag Thakur

Kanpur, India – We are delighted to inform you that on July 29, 2024, the office bearers and members of the Nunchaku Association of India had a courtesy meeting with the former Sports and Youth Minister, Shri Anurag Thakur, at his residence in Delhi. The delegation, consisting of the association’s General Secretary and Founder Babul Verma, Vice President Raj Prakash Sharma, and Media Coordinator Vijay Kushwaha, requested recognition for the Nunchaku sport by the Government of India.

Shri Anurag Thakur, after receiving detailed information about the sport, assured us that Nunchaku would be very helpful for self-defense among the daughters and women of the country. He expressed his readiness to extend all possible help. He immediately arranged a meeting with the Honorable Shri Bhupendra Singh Bajwa, Chairman of the Olympic Association of India. Shri Bajwa mentioned that he would be traveling to Paris for the upcoming Olympics but assured us of a meeting upon his return next month, directing us to coordinate with his Secretary for the same.
