 Rules

 
Eligibility:

• The 1st Open Nunchaku Freestyle Kata Championship will be conducted as an online tournament.
• Participants will be divided into different categories.
• Each participant will be required to record and submit their Freestyle Kata performance video.
• The tournament is open to nunchaku practitioners of all ages and skill levels.
•  Participants must have access to a safe and suitable practice area for recording their Freestyle Kata.
• Participants are required to perform a traditional or freestyle nunchaku Kata

Registration Period:

• The registration period for the tournament will start from 23 July 2023 and close on 29 July 2023 till 22:00pm.
• Participants need to visit the official website www.nunchakuindia.com.
• Fill out the required registration form.
• Once the registration form is submitted successfully, participants will receive a confirmation email containing their unique registration ID  and also get access to the video submission form. 

Registration Fee:

• Good news! The registration for the 1st Open Nunchaku Freestyle Kata Championship is absolutely free of charge. No payment is required to participate.

Video Submission:

•  Participants will upload a single video recording of their Freestyle Kata performance.
• The video must not exceed 60 seconds in duration.
• The video must clearly show the participant’s entire body and nunchaku movements.
• The video must be a continuous, unedited take.

Submission Deadline:

•  Participants must ensure their video submission is completed and uploaded by the specified deadline, which is 31 July 2023.

Communication and Updates :

• Participants will receive important updates and communications regarding the tournament via the email address and WhatsApp provided during registration.
• It is essential to regularly check the provided email for any notifications or announcements from the tournament organisers.

Results Announcement:

• The results of the tournament will be announced on 15 August 2023, approximately two weeks after the submission deadline.
• Participants can find the results on the official tournament website or through email notification.
• All Participants will get Digital certificates.

Judging Criteria:

• Judges will assess the Freestyle Kata performances based on technical execution, control, rhythm, and overall impression.
•  Scoring may also consider creativity, style, and expression of the participant.
• The decision of the judges will be final and cannot be contested.

 Fair Play and Sportsmanship:

• Participants must conduct themselves with integrity, respect, and good     sports-Spirits throughout the tournament.
• Any form of cheating, unethical behaviour, or violation of the rules may result in disqualification and participation fee will not be refunded.
